The Typo Experience within Interface Design

What is your challenge within experience design? Are you prepared for an interactive design session? In this workshop, Claudia Friedrich, strategic designer, and managing director of the business unit interface design at zweigrad Design, will take you on the journey of a design process. In this workshop, we start with analysing the context as a base for creative new ideas to bring the mon the road for a desirable product.

This workshop is intended for intermediate and empathetic designers and developers willing to take the role and perspective of different stakeholders within a design process. With her experience of real-life time-to-market and time projects for product interface for industrial and consumer products, she facilitates interactive co-creation sessions. Learn different methods and tools to let your ideas flow but also to be precise and tough within. Your decisions.

What will the workshop cover?
In this hands-on workshop, we explore and proceed

  • Running through a condensed design process for the optimised application of fonts.
  • Starting with creating a use case for a daily use of an interactive consumer product in the house.
  • Having a look at the user, the context and the information that is needed.
  • What information is needed? How relevant is the information in the certain context?
  • How should the information be transferred to the user? How should it be visualised?
  • What are my expectations as users?
  • Keeping the brand, company and product perspective in mind.
  • With all those questions we figure out the best user and brand experience.
  • We will also have a look at tec requirements for implementation.

What material do you need?
Bring your brain, your creativity and motivation in the teams. We will work with pens and post-it notes to push plenty of ideas and put them on paper. Thinking, creating, sketching, discussing and discarding within small teams will be the challenge. Roleplay could be a method to pitch your best ideas or to create and non-standard experience.
